What airport should I fly into?
The Leonardo da Vinci Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO). This is the closest major airport to Orvieto and the only location from which Orvieto Musica provides group transportation. For full details, please review the Booking Your Flights page in the OM Portal.
How do I submit my travel details?
Please complete the Arrival Details Form in the OM Portal. This ensures we can coordinate your arrival with our group transportation and apartment host team.
How do I get from Rome to Orvieto?
We strongly recommend traveling via our Group Transportation Option. This is the most reliable way to arrive on time and be met by your apartment hosts, who will escort you directly to your accommodations.
Participants unable to take the group transfer must arrive at Piazza d’Armi by 2:45 PM on the first day of their program. Late arrivals cannot be accommodated, and housing check-in will not be available after this time. If late arrival is unavoidable, indicate this on your Arrival Details Form and email admin@orvietomusica.org with your confirmed travel plans. Arrivals after 2:45 PM must arrange their own lodging for the night; formal check-in will resume at 9:00 AM the following morning at:

Where do we meet at FCO?
We meet in Terminal 3, Arrivals, Entrance 1, near a small café where you will see other musicians gathered. In May, you will receive details for joining the official Orvieto Musica WhatsApp Group, which we will use for easy communication in case of flight delays or last-minute updates.
What happens if my luggage is lost?
If your luggage does not arrive with you, proceed to the Lost Luggage counter at Fiumicino Airport to file a claim. Do not list your personal contact information—use our Orvieto accommodation address and phone numbers to ensure delivery directly to the festival:

How do I get from Orvieto to FCO at the end of the festival?
A group bus will depart Orvieto on the final day of your program, arriving at FCO at approximately 11:00 AM CET. Please book flights departing no earlier than 12:30 PM CET to allow sufficient time for check-in, baggage drop, and security.
Should I arrive a day early?
If your flight schedule makes same-day arrival difficult, we recommend arriving one day early and staying at a hotel in Fiumicino or central Rome. This helps avoid last-minute travel stress and ensures you can join the group bus on arrival day.
Can I take a train, taxi, or private car to Orvieto instead?
While possible, we do not recommend these options. Trains and taxis may result in late arrivals, and participants who miss the group bus will not be met at the Orvieto train station. Our apartment hosts only greet participants at the Piazza d’Armi bus stop.
