Creator and researcher, Michel Godard creates, finds and weaves the links between centuries and musical cultures. Of course through the practice of improvisation and its codes, but also thanks to the diversified encounters with musicians from all horizons.

As a classical tuba player before becoming the essential tuba player of European jazz ensembles, he rediscovers a forgotten instrument, which he teaches at the CNSM in Paris, and which happens to be the ancestor of the tuba: the Serpent.

Today, his creation is an alchemy formed of precious metals that are the different musical cultures that inhabit him. Michel Godard shares a music out of time; multidimensional musician, he opens perspectives to new generations of researchers and creators.
