Ehrengard von Gemmingen received her Bachelor of Music at the Berlin University of the Arts with Prof. Wolfgang Boettcher, and her Master of Music at the Royal Academy of Music, London with the Amadeus Quartet, where she was a Leverhulme Fellow. She was a member of the Quartet in Residence at Yale University (USA) studying with the Tokyo String Quartet. Ehrengard has played with the London Sinfonia and the European Community Chamber Orchestra. She is a founding member of the Ensemble Incendo Berlin with whom she performed in many festivals like the “Heidelberger Frühling,” Klangestalten Festival Berlin or the Ligeti Festival Rumania.

Ehrengard von Gemmingen has worked with numerous composers like Geroge Crumb, Milton Babbit, Aribert Reimann, Elena Firsova, Ursula Mamlok, Susanne Stelzenbach and Violeta Dinescu.
