Dr. Christopher Probst is professor of trumpet at Jacksonville State University in Alabama, where he teaches the trumpet studio, directs trumpet ensembles, coaches brass quintets, and JSU Jazz Ensemble 3. As a performer, he is active throughout the Southeastern US performing with orchestras, Latin, jazz, chamber, and new music ensembles.

A native of Pennsylvania, Dr. Probst completed his bachelor of music education and bachelor of music performance degrees at Lebanon Valley College of Pennsylvania, a master of music in trumpet performance at the University of Arizona, a master of jazz studies at Florida International University, and doctor of musical arts in trumpet performance at the University of Georgia.

Dr. Probst has performed and taught in multiple states and several countries including Canada, China, the Czech Republic, Mexico, France, Italy, and South Africa.
