Angela King has gained national and international attention for her work as a performer and educator. Angela currently serves as the Assistant Professor of Trumpet at the University of Central Arkansas. She previously taught at Texas A&M University-Kingsville, Brass Institute of America, and the X Clinicas Instrumentales Institución Universitaria Bellas Artes y Ciencias de Bolívar in Cartagena, Colombia. As Editor of the Journal Index for the International Trumpet Guild (ITG) Journal and a member of numerous ITG Committees, she contributes to the organization through writing for the ITG News Report and assisting with the ITG Conference Journal.

As a performer, Angela has played with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, Conway Symphony Orchestra, Symphony of Northwest Arkansas, Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra, Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra, Panama City Symphony Orchestra, and South Georgia Ballet Orchestra. Internationally, she has performed with Athena Brass Band in Valencia, Spain for the International Tuba and Euphonium Conference, the Orquesta Integrada de las Clínicas Instrumentales in Cartagena, Colombia, an alumnae of the 2018 Orvieto Musca TrumpetFest, and has toured in the Dominican Republic and Costa Rica. Additionally, she performs with Pinnacle Brass, the faculty brass quintet at UCA and The Calla Project, a trumpet ensemble, which is a group dedicated to fostering diversity in music.

Angela holds a Doctor of Music degree from Florida State University, as well as degrees from Ithaca College and Troy University. Her teachers include Christopher Moore, Aaron Witek, Christopher Coletti, and Michael Huff.
