Intensive Strings! June 16 – July 5, 2024 in Orvieto, Italy
Intensive Strings is a 3 week immersive chamber music workshop for graduate, college, and young professionals held in the medieval hill town of Orvieto, Italy.
This performance-based program offers the opportunity to work closely with faculty in a rigorous schedule of daily rehearsals and coachings in professionally-paced preparation for 5 public concerts over 3 weeks. While refining their skills as musicians, participants experience living in small-town Italy with Orvieto’s charming piazzas and local restaurants, with weekends off for sightseeing trips to Rome, Florence, and beyond.
Participants of the Intensive Strings program will emerge from this program with increased knowledge of the chamber music repertoire, rehearsal strategies, and confidence in musical leadership and performance.
