Dr. Lisa Sain Odom is an opera and musical theater singer and actor who teaches musical theater and voice at Clemson University. She holds a DMA in Vocal Performance from the University of South Carolina, as well as Vocal Performance degrees from Bob Jones University and Converse College.
Dr. Odom has appeared with the South Carolina Philharmonic, Foothills Philharmonic, Opera Carolina, Spartanburg Repertory Theatre, Opera at USC, Columbia Opera Guild and the Bob Jones University Opera Association. Her roles include Papagena (Die Zauberflöte), Isabelle/Madeline (The Face on the Barroom Floor), Musetta (La Bohème), Anne Page (The Merry Wives of Windsor), Monica (The Medium) and Miss Pinkerton (The Old Maid and the Thief). An accomplished concert soloist, Dr. Odom has appeared with the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria, the South Carolina Philharmonic, the Foothills Philharmonic, the Fountain Inn Symphony Orchestra, and with the USC Symphony and Ballet.
In addition to her work at Clemson University, she has served on the music faculties of North Greenville University and Western Carolina University.
